The Last Great Discovery in Rock ‘n’ Roll – Ulrich Handl Photograper
The Last Great Discovery in Rock ‘n’ Roll – Ulrich Handl Photograper presented by our friend Justin Barwick.
Ulrich Handl is now 70 years old and was an amateur photographer in the clubs and venues of Munich from 1964 through to the 1980’s. He documented the scene in a way a professional would most likely have missed. His naïve style capturing moments in time that now give a flashback to an exciting period in rock music, and with many photographs the celebrated professional photographers would be very proud to have taken.
The books text is dual language in English and German
but the focus is on the 80+ photographs of artists such as The Beatles, Frank Zappa, The Rolling Stones, The WHO, The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher and many more. From close-up action pictures to backstage or aftershow shots, the book transports the reader back in time.
With all photographs being published for the first time fans of the artists or historians of Rock ‘n’ Roll will find the book a sensational discovery.
